Data Store Export

Data can be exported from any Model. As the name suggests, it is stored in the database as data only (all formulas are converted to data). The exported data is for one, and only one, Scenario that is configured at the time of export. Once exported, it can be imported into the same, or any other, model.

Exporting Data

  1. Navigate to Model Content/Data Exports.
  2. Right-click on the group and select AddData Store Export
  3. Title the export and add Annotations with details about this export.
  4. Exported FOs - In Legacy Model The original model with a predefined set of FO Types and Groups suitable for most organizations.s by default, the export will include all Financial Objects in the Income Statement and Balance Sheet. This behavior can be modified by clicking on FO Set and changing the settings in the same way FO Sets are specified for a Parts Dimension.
  5. Scenario: select the scenario that you want to use in this export.

Best Practice: Although it is possible to select None, it is a good idea to explicitly select the scenario you want to use for the export.

  1. Specify the Start Date and End Date for the export. The default is to include all periods, including the initial balances (Period prior to start of plan)
  2. Specify if FOs should be re-titled. Click on Title to change, add, or delete title components including text, and FO attributes.
  3. Enter the Conversion Factor (monetary units). The default number is 1.
  4. Click on export data.
