Checkpoints

A checkpoint is a read-only backup of the model. Models may be checkpointed at any time.

Checkpointing a model

To checkpoint a model, click on the Model Name menu and select Checkpoint Model. Type in a name for the checkpoint (e.g. CP 1, v1.0) and any Annotations with information pertaining to the checkpoint (e.g. Prior to importing February actual results). Select to choose a backup checkpoint or library checkpoint. Click Complete Checkpoint.

A backup checkpoint is used to restore models during stages of edits. A library checkpoint is used to share elements of a model for others to use within their own models. In order to allow others to use a checkpoint (backup or library) please see Sharing_a_Model.

Viewing checkpoints

To view a list of all previous checkpoints, view the model detail page. Opening the checkpoint is similar to opening a model. It can be closed, deleted, exported, published, or restored.

Restoring a checkpoint

While in the checkpoint, select Restore Checkpoint. This action is irreversible and will replace the original model with the restored version.
