Slide Decks (Legacy)

A Slide Deck is a sequence of slides, each slide taking up one browser page. Like presentation slides, each slide provides information about a particular topic or aspect. Slides, however, provide up-to-date direct access to a model, including any charts or reports, so you never need to "update" your presentation with the latest figures.

Dashboards is the better way to analyze outcomes. It offers a modern, streamlined and dynamic user interface to help you easily aggregate your modeling objects including reports, charts, and input managers so you can more easily conduct scenario analysis.

Creating a Slide Deck

A slide deck can be created one of two ways:

  1. Copy an existing slide deck.
  2. Create a new one by going to the Dashboards section of the Navigation Tree, right-clicking the Slide Decks group and selecting "Add Slide Deck".

After creating or copying a slide deck, enter the following information:

  1. Enter the title of the slide deck.
  2. Specify one or more users who can access the slide deck by clicking on the Permissions button. This opens Permissions Manager.
  3. A user with Access permission can View but not Edit a slide. Specify one of more editors of the slide deck. Modify existing or add new users to set the access level as desired for each slide in the deck - either Access or Edit.
  4. Select the slide deck styles to be used in the slide deck (a default slide deck style is created when the first slide deck of a model is created).

Accessing a Slide Deck

When opening a model, Power User start in the Unified Navigation and choose Slide Decks from the View drop-down menu in the top navigation bar. The decks available depend on the access rights granted by model owners. Power Users can also right-click a slide deck name in the Slide Deck group of the Dashboards section of the Navigation tree and choose "Go to Slide Deck". Alternatively, click an individual slide and choose "View Slide".

When opening a model, Limited and Viewer users will go directly to slide deck mode to view the decks that they have been granted access to by Model Owners.

See Slides for details on how to View, Edit and Navigate between slides.
