Select & Load a Model

After you log on to the software, two panels will be displayed - the Help panel and the Models List panel. The system notification pop-up will appear if there are any unread notifications with the option to mark them as read or to display all notifications. There is a unified navigation bar at the top of the page. The following icons appear on the top right of the navigation bar (from left to right):

  • Help: A list of help items that you can select including these Help Docs.

  • Notifications: Click to read of list of system notifications.

  • Settings: Includes feature Options you can enable or disable as well as the ability to enable or disable Auto Login if you have registered your device when you logged in.

  • User Iconn: Click to Log out.

If you've already created some models, or if models have been shared with you by other users or co-workers, a list of all these models will be displayed in the Models List panel. When clicking on the name of a model, the Model Detail panel will appear with model information including: associated libraries, data stores, who has access, and other details.

Using the Model List

You can open the model from the Models Detail panel or you can open a model from the Models List panel by clicking the Open button. If you are a Power User, you will start in Power Mode where you can work on your model or optionally, select the View drop-down to go to Dashboards or Slide Decks for which you have access. If you are a Limited or View Only user, you will start in Dashboards or Slide Decks depending on what you have access to.

Should you need guidance, navigate to the Help panel to find links to online help, the Synario Support Center, Modeler's Forum, and software version information.

When viewing the models list page there are several sorting and searching options. At the top of the models list page there is a "Find:" field which can be used to search for models by model name, catalog name, and model owner name. Next to the Find field there are three check boxes available to filter the list by inaccessible models and checkpoints. Models can also be filtered by favorites (below).

The models list is a table of pre-defined columns. By clicking the column name, many options are available. These include sorting by ascending or descending order, removing the currently selected column, saving or clearing the current column display and sorting order, and HTML and CSV table export options. Columns not currently displayed can be added to the table. The full list of available columns includes: Column #, Model name, Favorites, Open, Owner, Access, Last Changed, In Use, Create Date, Catalog Name, Build, Base Library, Checkpoints, Libraries, Data Stores, Exported Data Stores, Checkpointed Models, Stage.

Favorites

When the favorites column (Fav) is displayed, it offers a helpful way to "star" models that you use often or do not want to forget. This is particularly useful when the currently displayed list of models is long. Models can be "favored" or "un-favored" by clicking the star icon. By clicking the "Fav" column you can sort favored models to the top or bottom of the model list table.
